Robotics Team – First Lego League Robotics

Grades 4-6 Thursdays 5:00 – 6:30 pm

Grades 6-8 Thursdays 6:45 – 7:15 pm

Join us in the First Lego League NYC Competition!  Students will hone their robotics skills in the largest national robotics competition.  Lego has recently updated their robotics coding to use Scratch or Python, giving a real boost to the tasks we can expect to accomplish with our robots.  Click here for more information about this year’s Energize Challenge.  This class will require at least one full Saturday for a qualifying match.  Details will be provided when registration opens, usually in October or November.  In the event that the team advances beyond the qualifier, further Saturdays will be scheduled.  The competition also involves a detailed science project on the theme of energy (consumption, distribution, storage, etc.) outside of the robot game, so it is not too early to start brainstorming ideas!
